Did you know that both parents go through physiological changes when the mother transforms from being pregnant to being a parent during the early motor development and overall development stages? Mothers show increases in oxytocin, a hormone controlling the key aspects of the reproductive system including lactation, brain plasticity changes due to interactions with your infant, and increases in brain volume and brain functional connectivity. Dads also show decreases in testosterone (male hormone), increases in oxytocin, brains plasticity changes associated with interactions with your infants and increases in brain volume and brain organization. This helps parents link with their infant and optimize their infant's early motor development. Parents need to have lots of time with their infants to make their changes happen and adapt to these changes both physiologically and psychologically. This is becoming a parent. The Power of Parenting - being bonded

Incroyable! #kidsphysio; #PediPT; #motordevelopment; #motordelays; #torticollis
